Spot UV Business Cards add a bold, modern edge to your branding. These premium cards begin with a silky smooth base, either 18pt Matte or 19pt Soft Touch stock, and then apply a glossy UV coating to selected areas. The contrast between the flat surface and the high-gloss highlights creates a professional finish that stands out immediately.
Spot UV applies a clear, glossy layer to specific parts of your design. Many customers use it to highlight logos, draw attention to text, or emphasize subtle patterns in the background. When light catches the UV coating, those elements shine in contrast to the matte card beneath. The result is a card that feels dynamic and makes a strong first impression.
Because Spot UV is a layered effect, it requires an additional artwork file. In addition to your front and back card designs, you’ll need to submit a third Spot UV mask file. The mask file is black and white: black shows where the UV coating will go, and white leaves areas untouched. This simple step ensures that your cards print exactly as you intended.
Spot UV cards are printed in full color with bleeds and finished with precision. They are currently available with square corners only. You can choose between single-sided or double-sided printing depending on your design needs. Standard turnaround time ranges from 10–14 business days, allowing for the extra finishing process.
