Front and back foil available with a custom quote, so please contact us first for that option. Very small text, such as those used for phone numbers, addresses, etc. will not be raised foil. We want our customers to receive the best product possible, and the results of raised foil on very small text is subpar at best and typically make the text difficult to read.

Raised Foil cards are printed in full color with bleeds on your choice of:

What is raised foil?
Raised foil is a metallic coating applied in a raised layer above the card surface. It creates a reflective, embossed look you can feel with your fingertips.
Can foil be applied on both sides?
Yes. Foil is applied to one side as standard, but we can also apply it to both sides with a custom quote.
I want every element on my cards to be raised foil. Is that possible?
Yes, it is possible. However, we decline to offer that option. We want our customers to be happy with the final product and we have found that smaller text…8pt font for example…looks awful. We strive to put out a product we are proud of, and foiling all elements, including fine text, is not the type of product we want to produce.
What file setup is required?
In addition to your front and back artwork, you’ll need a foil mask file. The mask is a simple black-and-white design: black areas indicate where the foil should appear, and white areas remain uncoated.
What’s the turnaround time?
Raised Foil cards typically take 14 business days to complete because of the extra finishing steps required.
Which stock should I choose?
Select Matte if you prefer a clean, smooth look.
Choose Soft-Touch if you want a velvety feel that enhances the foil effect.
