A styrene sign offers a clean, lightweight plastic alternative for indoor or temporary outdoor signage. We print directly on .020″ polystyrene with UV inks—ideal for menus, in-store displays, promotional signs, and POP graphics.
Styrene (also known as polystyrene or plastic board) delivers flexibility without sacrificing durability. Although it bends, it “lays flat again” so it fits easily into frames or displays. Our signs maintain crisp visuals through UV direct printing on a smooth white surface.
We use .020″ white polystyrene film as the standard substrate. The finish is matte (no gloss), and we don’t laminate—this preserves surface detail. We print single-side in full color (4/0) using UV inks that resist fading. Grommets (brass, number 2) are optional for easy hanging.
Max size is 48″ × 36″ (custom sizes below that). Because the board is lightweight and flexible, it’s easy to ship and handle.
Styrene works well indoors or in temporary outdoor settings. It’s waterproof and UV safe, though prolonged direct sunlight may shorten its lifespan. A: Yes, it’s water-resistant and holds up to typical indoor/outdoor conditions, though extreme exposure (direct sun, rain) can shorten its life.
Q: How long do these signs last?
A: With proper use, indoor signs can last many years. Outdoors, expect months to a few years depending on exposure and care.
Q: How is the product shipped?
A: Because styrene bends, we often roll it and ship in a tube (if safe to do so) or flat when the size demands it.
